And the sun did shine. After the cold and wet summer of 2002, this summer was one of the hottest and driest in recent history. An estimated 900'000 people gathered on the shore of Lake Zurich and celebrated a day of peace, love, dance, and exhibitionism. It was a day of the Body, the body as sign, the body as fetish, the body as precious object of desire. Old and young, ugly and beautiful people, tasteful and bizarre costumes, angels and devils, harlots and nuns — whatever pair of opposites you can think of, you could find it at the Street Parade.
